just be you.

Today I want to tell you that it's okay to be you.

I used to look at myself in the mirror everyday and absolutely dispies what I saw. Picking at every little thing that was wrong with my body and the way I looked. I went on diet after diet trying to lose weight and I just felt like I was being disappointed every single time. I didn't like eating infront of people and made me extremely uncomfortable when I did. Nor did I like drinking any type of sugary drink infront of anyone. It was on my mind 24/7.

Now society doesn't even bother me anymore. Want to call me fat or chubby.. go ahead! It doesn't phase me one bit.
I noticed that I'm only young and my body is going to change, so why should I be doing stupid diets when I could be having fun. If I want to have a McDonalds.. I'll have one. And I'll even be confidant enough to eat it infront of everyone.
If you want to lose weight..for you, then go ahead. Don't just do it because you think it will make everyone else happier. Don't do it for a boy. Do it for you...and only you.
and this also goes for if you want to gain weight. Do it because you want to. Not just to make society happy.

If you are happy, healthy and comfortable... why should it matter what everyone else thinks?
If you are happy in your own skin.. you go girl and show your body off. Life is too short to worry about if your thighs or your bum is going to jiggle in something.
and life is too short to worry about what society thinks.

Be Happy. Be Beautiful and most importantly.. Be You!

daily skincare routine..

Again another appolagy to say that I haven't been blogging as much as I should be. Lots of work needs to be done this year in school:/.

To cleanse my skin I use the Simple Cleansing Lotion. I use a medium size dollop on a cotton wool pad and run it all over my face. I have noticed a massive difference in the way my skin has been after using this... It seems to make it softer and my breakouts don't seem to be that bad.

After that I use the Simple Facial Toner and again putting a small squeeze on a cotton wool pad.

At the moment I have been trying out the Hydroluron serum. This carries up to 1000 times it's weight it water. I have noticed after using this my face has looked a lot more hydrated and plump. It's brightened my skin up and it's been really working for me. I do think my skin dehydrated but after using this it's now amazing. I use the serum after my toning.

I moisturise my skin with Garnier Moisture Match. I got the oily to combination so it gives me a nice matt base. I'm in love with this moisturiser... Not only does it smell amazing, it does an amazing job too.

Have a good rest of the week. :-)

my day at alton towers.

I've never ever been to Alton Towers before and to be honest it was the most amazing experience! There is a new ride at Alton Towers called The Smiler.. which is why we decided to go.

As it was in a little village and twisty turny roads , we thought it was going to be really stressful to get there but it wasn't and well sign posted.

When we got there we walked straight to nemisis to warm us up. There was absolutely no line so we walked straight on the ride. A mixture of anxiety and excitement rushed to me but before I could become anxious, the ride had started and I'm so glad I did it. 6/10

We then went on Air( weird&wonderful by the way). 10/10

Then came Nemisis Sub Terra. This was the worst experience of my life. First of all there was this dude shouting at us being a total idiot.. I giggled and he just starred at me and made me feel small and was super antagonising. They said it was like 'Nemisis.. In the dark'.. and I thought that meant the ride Nemisis in the dark. No.. No it wasn't. We sat in a circle and at first it was fun because it dropped down but then someone was screaming 'get out get out get out!' which made a start panicking. I had a panic attack and there was no way of getting out. People were touching me and I couldn't handle it. So warning to everyone... do not think it is nemisis.. in the dark:). 0/10

We then went on Thirteen which I was front row in and that was super cool. 8/10
~Rita.. which left my stomach at the start of the ride. 8/10
~Oblivion.. I was so nervous for this and I think it was because of the very steep drop. 9/10
come on! look at it!

~The Smiler.. made me laugh all the way round which was a weird experience. Amazing ride and defiantly recommend it. 10/10

Then went on Nemisis&Air again.

Finally for a nice end to the day we went on The Flume.7/10 We got soaked and it was really funny!

All in all Alton Towers was absolutely amazing! Defiantly recommend it.. The only downside of it was I had a panic attack.

Have a lovely day! ❤

primark haul ~ ish.

Whilst I was in Bournemouth I went shopping. It's a brilliant place... to shop and going to the beach. Bournemouth was just all round amazing.

It's such a beautiful place (Bournemouth pier).

When I was going shopping.. I see a massive Primark. You know when you see a Primark you just have to go into it.

Just to say that not everything is from Primark... but the most of it is.

The floral playsuit&the Superdry pants are not from Primark.

This is what the floral boyfriend t-shirt(£5)looks like and also the disco leggings (£7) look like.

I wanted a pair of disco pants/leggings for a while now but I didn't want to pay load for the American Apparel ones just incase they didn't suit me.
The high-waisted disco legging are very confitable and I would defiantly recommend giving them a go.

The boyfriend jeans(£7-sale)
Tweety pie t-shirt(£6)

The type of jeans I normally wear are skinny. I wanted some difference and decided to go with a boyfriend style. Also style icon like Rihanna have been pulling off the whole rolled up boyfriend jean look,so I decided to give it a go. They were originally £14, which I didn't find too bad for a nice pair of jeans.. but then I go to the till and they showed as £7!

I've been really liking the baggy/boyfriend  style at the moment.

This wasn't from primark but it's such a beautiful playsuit. (from a little market place in Bournemouth-£15)

As you can see from the first picture.. there is a gorgeous mint green bag(£5). I absolutly adore the colour mint.. and this is just the perfect size for everything. Bargain! Also you can see the bright coloured hair bands(£1).

I also saw a range of nail polish in there called Angelicia. Absolutly beautiful colours and I chose a glitter nails polish(£2.50)
The colour is Spring Break.

Thank you for reading and sorry for my lack of posts. Been super busy&sorting stuff out. Love you all.
By the way.. sorry for the font. My computer won't let me use my normal font or put my links at the bottom. Also i will be starting to use my d-slr camera again as the photos I've been posting are quite bad quality. sorry x

How To Do 60s Make Up!

I'm not a professional at make up. I just love make up and I wanted to try it out. There are probably much better tutorials out there but this is just how I do a 60s make up look.

Step 1:

Start out with a heavy base as we want the skin to look absolutely flawless.(I look so happy..)

Step 2:

Contour cheek bones with either a matt bronzer or a contouring powder.

Step 3:

Use a pale pink blush and apply that to the apples of your cheeks.

Step 4:

Use a champagne colour and sweep all across the lid.

Step 5:
Use a black kohl liner and draw a line in the socket of your eye.. with a slight flick at the end.

On top of the eyeliner, put some black eyeshadow on it.. To make it look deeper and smokey.

Step 6:

Get a gel eyeliner and wing it out on the top.

Also take some of the gel eyeliner and put it on the bottom lash line.

Step 7:

Add a lot of mascara to the top and bottom eyelashes. Also add some false eyelashes to make your eyelashes look full and fluttery.

Step 8:

Finally add a pale pink lipgloss and fill in your eyebrows strongly.
DONE!

If you enjoyed and liked this tutorial then I'd love it if you could try it and post them on instagram and tag me in it(meganrawlins) or tweet me(@megan_rawlins) .

Have a lovely monday!

I went shopping!❤

I went shopping today! yay! The reason this happened is because its my beautiful mum's birthday tomorrow and I literally had nothing to wear so I popped in new look and I really was expecting to find much but I found a whole outfit and I'm really pleased.

I bought a beautiful floaty netted crop top and don't worry it has a opaque black slip underneath. I just thought this would look amazing with the aztec maxi dress that I got because even though there is some pattern on the crop top I just wanted to make the outfit a bit more interesting.

Also got some black wedges because they are quite comfortable and I don't have any wedges.

To add a bit of interest I bought some gorgeous earrings with a hoop and turquoise gems around the hoop with gold leaves and red beads hanging. these were in the sale and thought they were a great find.
I also bought a real techniques brush from boots and I will definatly be reviewing that once I've given it a good test run:-).

Current Beauty Favourites♥

These are just some of the things I have been loving for the past couple of months. I won't be doing a beauty favourites every month because to be honest I normally like the same products over a few months.

The first thing I have been loving is my Original Source Mint&Tea Tree shower gel. Oh my..this stuff actually smells amazing! On the days where I am not feeling amazing or I am feeling very very tired, when I put this shower gel on me I just get woken up instantly. This shower gel is quite cheap aswell and I will be defiantly be purchasing this more. Also, fun fact for you all.. in only one bottle of this shower gel, it holds 7,927 mint leaves. That's probably why it smells so god damn amazing.

Another thing I've been loving is my Toni&Guy cleanse and nourish shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair. I have ombre'd my hair..and I won't lie ombreing is not good for your hair. Ombreing is bleaching the ends of your hair basically and you're stripping the hair of it's natural colour. I bought this shampoo and conditioner because I wanted to look after my hair and make it all nice and amazing. It definatly did the job of looking after my hair and I will be defiantly re-purchasing it. It makes the ends of my hair nourished and it makes my ombre hair look brighter and more healthier. I might do a blog post on my ombre hair routine.

On the hair front.. I have also been liking the Toni&Guy Salt Spray. Since I have had ombre hair, I've been liking my hair kinda of messy with loose beachy curls. I just find that my hair looks a bit more intresting that way. The spray itself is absolutely lovely. It's not sticky, it's not crunchy.. nothing is worst than having crunchy hair..It's just wrong. It's an all round amazing product.

Since I have been using my salt spray my hair has been a lot more tangled.. which means my Tangle Teezer has been a god send. I alway dread brushing my hair...with all the knots and oh my..it just makes me want to cry. But now I don't cringe at the thought of brushing my hair when I have my tangle teezer. I just makes the chore of brushing my hair less annoying&horrible. If you have quite knotty long hair I would defiantly recommend you try the Tangle Teezer out. Also they have many different colours to choose from.

Now on to the make up. Clinque superbalanced makeup.. I have mentioned this in a previous blog post but I haven't said how much I love this foundation. It's a quite light foundation but it has quite a lot of coverage..that probably makes no sense but. The coverage is quite high but without looking cakey.

Also been loving the maybelline the falsies mascara which I also mentioned in a previous blog post. This mascara gives you volume and length, it also spreads out your eyelashes so you dont have spidery eyelashes.. spidery eyelashes is always a bad look.

Maybelline gel eyeliner in black. I have never tried out any gel eyeliners but this is amazing. It stays on my eyes all day long.. looks lovely when you wing it out and it's quite a jet black and that doesn't fade through-out the day.

The last two things I have been loving is M.A.C creme blend blush in Something Special, which is really natural and gives a nice glow to your cheeks. Annnnnnd a Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in number 16. This is a bright coral colour which looks lovely on a summers day, I have been wearing this alot lately because the sun is been out. I think that if you're wearing quite a plain outfit, it can easily be brightened up with this lipstick.. also it's very affordable!

Primark Eye Shadow Palette.

The other day I went shopping. I popped into Primark and see they had a vamped up their beauty section, so I had a quick look.

What grabbed my attention was an eye shadow palette.
Okay.. I admit the packaging is a little bit cheap and not to everyones taste but you slowly get used to it because of the product and colours that are inside. Also what would you expect... it's not going to be the most special packaging for Primark.

Inside there are the most beautiful colours and a MASSIVE mirror, brilliant for on the go. The colours are quite soft and not to 'in your face'. At first I was most scared on the bright purple but I watched a Perrie Edwards inspired make up tutorial and I saw how I could use that colour naturally. The purple is probably one of the best colours in the palette. This palette cost me £2.50.. yes, you saw it right. That makes each eyeshadow 0.3 of a penny! AMAZING! The pigmentation on the eyeshadow is not the best but for £2.50 I wasn't expecting much. The pigmentation was actually better than I was expecting, you do have to press a little bit to get some colour but it's worth it for how amazing the colours look on the eyes.

As I said.. The purple colour is probably the best colour in the palette in my opinion. When put on the eyes, it looks a lot like Mac Stars N Rockets. Also the black is amazing for a smokey eye. The first colour is a dark brown with gold shimmers in it, second colour is a matte concrete colour and the last two colours are a beautiful purple with gold and pink shimmer in it and a matte black.

The other colours are a violet blue colour, an electric blue, a shimmery light brown and a black with gold and green shimmer.

For £2.50 this is an amazing palette, also the pigmentation is decent aswell.
I would also recommend to get this palette soon because I dont know when they are going to discontinue.

Thank you for reading x

Mini Haul.

So.. I went shopping. I had some easter money to spend so I went and bought a few nice things. The shops I went in were.. Superdrug, Boots, Poundshop and H&M.

I bought a lovely mint green dress from h&m. I was looking for a summer dress because I have a few maxi dresses but I dont have a dress this length. I loved the mint green because I think it's a bold colour but not too bright, just very suttle. I love how it sinches in just below the bust and then flows out..it's a dress that makes you have a good figure and doesnt show your lumps or bumps ;-). I picked this up in the sale for only £3! Bargain!

Next I bought a black pleather belt with a gold bow on it from Poundland. I thought this would really compliment the dress because the dress is mint green so very suttle and then you'd have a strip of black which makes it look a bit more interesting. Also the gold bow detailing is so pretty and it makes it look more expensive than it actually is.

Also I bought my favourite dry shampoo which is Batiste Cherry. This dry shampoo makes my hair feel silky and non-greasy so when I can't be bothered to wash my hair, I just spray a little bit of this in the morning. Also it's quite cheap and it's brilliant! You can pick it up in any drugstore and also supermarkets.

There was a massive hype about the nose strips that draw out all of your spots. I heard people saying 'they're really good, amazing in fact!' and then there were bad reviews on them saying that 'they were really bad for you'. So I picked a pack up from Superdrug and I tried them out.. They. Are. Amazing. They just draw out all the rubbish in your nose and I won't lie.. it's kind of satisfying peeling it off. They're probably bad for you but they are amazing!

I bought the Sleek Lash Out masacra for ONE POUND! In the pound shop they had quite a few brands to check out and the Sleek masacra caught my eye. I would definatly recomend going to pound shops to see if you can get any good deals in there.

When I was shopping, I thought to myself.. 'Maybe I should update my nail polish collection'. So that's what I did. First of all for nail polish, I went to Boots. I picked up Essie~Mint Candy Apple(last on the right), for many people this was their favourite nail polish and I've heard youtubers and bloggers go on about this colour. It's a beautiful mint green and I think it will go with most outfits..especially the dress I bought. I went to the next row along and found Models Own, I got this gorgeous pastel yellow which is Banana Spilt(in the middle on the right). Not only is this a nice colour.. when it dries.. it smells of banana split/milkshake. YUM!

I went over to Superdrug and looked at the NYC stand. Automatically I saw the bright blue(last on the left) which is called Blue Sky. Also I picked up the the greeny blue colour(middle on the left) which is called Mint Macaroon.. I love it when a nail polish has a nice name. I haven't tried the NYC nail polishes yet.

I left the best till last.. oh my.. the most beautiful blush palette you ever did see. This is the sleek blush by 3 palette in the colour Lace. The colour on the left is a bright coral/orange. In the middle there is a beautiful dusty pink with gold specs in it(by far the most prettiest). And on the right there is a bright hot pink. I heard about this palette by a youtuber named Zoella and straight away I wanted to buy it. I've been wanting to buy some Sleek blushes because I've heard great things about them, actually I've heard great things about Sleek in general. I have a couple of their eyeshadow palettes in Au Natural and Storm and the pigmentation of their products are amazing! You'd get the same pigmentation as if you bought a high end blush. If you're looking for cheap yet brilliant pigmentated make-up I'd go to Sleek in Superdrug.
